After having lived here in Fayetteville for over 10 years I finally made it a point to visit the Confederate Cemetary. I picked a beautiful day as you can see. The fall colors are gorgeous and there was a nice combination of light and shadow. Most of the makers were unreadable, just plain stone rectangles marking the final resting place of a soldier. It's an interesting cemetary, divided into four different sections with the large monument in the center. If you're interested in Civil War history, I'd recommend visiting if you're ever in Fayetteville. |
